Are You Kidding?

"Product party plans only give you false comfort. They don’t enrich. They don’t lead to MLM success."

A home party gives you the illusion that you’re gaining traction with action. It’s fool’s gold. Your time can be better spent doing the "marketing" in network marketing, as in internet marketing strategy.

That’s right..

I’m talking you out of throwing a home party. It’s the crazy way to execute the make money at home business opportunity you’re looking for.

Home parties are time consuming and of low value, but a badly executed one is a nightmare.

Remember, a home party is direct selling. It’s targeted towards consumers. It’s part of the MLM game for you to move products. It’s slow. And pointless. Still insisting on having a go, then here’s the…(continued below...)

Home party plans ground rules:

A product home party isn't a real party. All food and drinks are to be served AFTER the product demonstrations and sales.

Ensure with the host that there are no distractions. No distracting background TV sounds or wailing children.

Someone (preferably the host) tees up the presenter. Speak in glowing terms about the presenter for at least a minute. This puts the presenter in a favorable light for the potential customers.

Here goes a really big nothing

7 Points In Home Party Plans

Before starting the home party, lay out all the relevant products near where the session is conducted.

"Now do the following incredibly pointless boring stuff…"

1. Introduction of your MLM company.

The objective here is to impress upon your audience the strength of your company and that it is not a fly-by-night operator.

I rate this as essential.

If you have a DVD presentation, now is the time to tee-up your company.

2. Basic Information about human skin, anti-oxidants or whatever your product does.

Essential. You should demonstrate some basic knowledge. You probably know a teeny-weeny bit more than anyone else at the home party. You're branding yourself as an expert in this area.

Use your DVD presentation now if you have one. This tee-up's your products.

3. Why are your products so special?

Don’t be feature heavy but concentrate on the benefits. Remember the Unique Selling Proposition.

If it is a skin care product, get volunteers now for the demonstration.

4. Why your multi level marketing company is able sell such a great product while others can’t.

Go through the distribution chain of a typical other retail products and related advertisement costs. This is the typical MLM fiction.

Show how an MLM company cuts out all the distribution channel costs and advertisements.

5. Do the product demonstration now on volunteers.

This is Skin Care example...

There's much "messy" work involved. That’s why I don’t do party plans by avoiding home parties all together. Here goes…

Smile.

Completely go through the skin care routine:

a. Daily (Morning & night):

  • Cleansing & exfoliating
  • Toning
  • Moisturizing
Don't forget to waste more time expanding on each point.

b. Weekly

  • Cleansing mask
  • Face lift
You have to spend time demonstrating the steps.

c. Extended Care

  • ex. White series
  • ex. Skin brightening complex
  • ex. Ideal eyes Vitamin C&A/Intensive Eye Care
  • ex. True Face/ True Face line corrector
  • ex. Celltrix (collagen)
  • ex. 180 anti-aging
Good product knowledge is essential. But…

Try speaking the same stuff 20 times a week. This is what I mean by saying I now never ever do home parties for the return and support headache it gives.

6. Sample the products (skin care)

Some participants may want a personal experience of the products. Allow the participants to look at the various products and feel them if you can afford it.

It costs money - but it's essential you have as many products for display as possible and keep some stock to sell on the spot...

Demo stock is also how your MLM company creates sales. You're the sucker...

7. Business Opportunity

Your target audience are end consumers. Do not talk about the home business opportunity at this forum.

If someone does ask, invite them to a Business Opportunity Meeting (BOM). Don’t try to do a mini BOM at the home party as the other disinterested participants may question your margins.

Follow the above party plans and you will have a trouble free home party. But…

Lower your sales expectations from home parties. They won’t be large no matter how great the party plans. Running a home party is not your path to financial freedom.

It doesn't end with the product party especially. There's still the follow up support...

Do home parties and you'll end up running a business and not owning a business. There goes your time freedom.

Superstar network marketers never do home parties. There’s no leverage AND the party’s value vanishes after the party. They simply take themselves out of the MLM game.

Bear this in mind.
